About FNAF 3

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 takes place thirty years after the closure of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. You work as a security guard at Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction, a horror-themed attraction based on the unsolved mysteries surrounding the original restaurant.

The attraction features authentic relics and recreated environments from the original pizzeria. However, they've found something that was always thought to be just a legend - a real animatronic. Springtrap, the withered and damaged remains of an old animatronic, now stalks the halls of the horror attraction.

The End of an Era

FNAF 3 reveals the fate of the Purple Guy and brings closure to the original trilogy's storyline.

The Purple Guy's Fate

In the minigames, we learn that William Afton (the Purple Guy) returned to the abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to destroy the animatronics. However, the spirits of the children he murdered confronted him, forcing him to hide in the old Spring Bonnie suit.

The suit's spring-lock mechanisms failed, crushing and killing him inside. For thirty years, his corpse remained trapped within what would become known as Springtrap, unable to rest and driven by malice.

The Good Ending

By completing the minigames and helping the spirits find peace, players can achieve the "Good Ending" where the children's souls are finally freed. The newspaper clipping shows that Fazbear's Fright burned down, potentially ending the cycle of horror.

However, the post-credits scene suggests that Springtrap may have survived the fire, hinting that the nightmare is far from over.
